1. Cookies and similar storage

A cookie is a small value saved by your browser and sent back to a website with relevant requests. Local storage keeps preferences in your browser until they are cleared. Session storage keeps temporary information for a browser tab or session. These technologies are different from the reading and purchase records held on our servers.

2. Essential reader session

The sid cookie identifies your guest reader session so the website can connect you with your library, reading progress, wallet and unlocked chapters. It contains a random session token. Its maximum lifetime is one year and it may be renewed while you use the service.

This cookie is necessary for account-based functions. Blocking or deleting it can cause loss of access to your guest account. It does not delete the server-side account or create an automatic refund. Keep your reader ID and receipts, and contact us if you need account assistance.

3. Reader preferences and browser storage

• reader_settings stores your reading preferences, such as theme and font size, in local storage and in a cookie used on book pages. The cookie lasts up to one year; the local storage copy remains until cleared.
• Recent search history is kept in local storage to help you revisit searches. You can clear recent searches in the search interface or remove the website’s local storage in your browser settings.
• Some interface display state is saved locally, and temporary action notices use session storage. Local storage remains until cleared; session storage normally ends when the tab or browser session closes.

4. Payment services and other cookies

When you open a checkout, the payment provider may use its own cookies or similar technologies to process payment, authenticate a transaction and prevent fraud. Review the privacy and cookie information provided by the payment provider shown at checkout.

The current Noveldora reader website does not use optional advertising or analytics cookies. If we introduce optional tracking that requires consent, we will provide information and the required choice before enabling it. This page does not enable optional tracking.

5. Managing your choices

Your browser settings let you view, block or delete cookies and website storage. The controls are usually under Privacy, Security or Site settings. Private browsing may remove your session when the private window closes. Blocking all storage may prevent the wallet, library or saved preferences from working.
