Chapter 3
Chapter 3: The Ring On His Desk
Mia Wales smiled at the camera as she sat behind Alpha George Harrison's large office desk. Her fingers moved slowly across the open jewelry case, making sure every viewer could see the ring resting on deep blue velvet.
"Look what I found on Alpha George's desk," Mia said with a soft laugh, lifting the case closer to the camera. "Isn't it beautiful?"
The livestream camera moved closer, showing the one-of-a-kind ring. It was shaped like a pearl, with delicate blue diamonds covering every petal and a rare blood ruby glowing in the center.
"That is Pearl Tears!" one viewer wrote.
Another message appeared at once. "Definitely! That pearl design and ruby center are impossible to mistake!"
Mia covered her mouth, but her eyes shone with satisfaction. "Please don't misunderstand. I really shouldn't show this, but Alpha George has been very kind to me lately."
The chat exploded.
"Priceless! I heard even royalty couldn't get their hands on it!"
"It's on Alpha George's desk! Who else could it be for?!"
"OMG! Is Alpha George proposing to Mia?"
"Mia, you're so lucky! Alpha George is spoiling you!"
"Luna Sabrina, are you seeing this? Now this is true love! That cheap necklace of yours is trash!"
Mia read the comments and gave a small, helpless smile. "Don't say that about Luna Sabrina. I don't want anyone to misunderstand me. I'm only here because Alpha George asked me to help with a promotional shoot."
Sabrina sat alone in the living room, staring at her phone while the livestream continued. Her wolf was awake inside her, angry and restless.
He is letting another woman claim his territory, and he expects the Luna to stay silent.
The ring on the screen made her stomach twist for another reason.
She had created it herself.
Before she became known as Sasha Jones, the secret jewelry designer praised by powerful packs, Sabrina had designed PearlTears with her own hands.
Every curve, every blue diamond, and every ruby setting had come from her private collection.
George had never known she was the designer.
And now that ring was sitting on his desk while Mia proudly showed it to the world.
Sabrina looked toward the coffee table.
Divorce papers waited there for her signature.
Her hand tightened. Then her phone rang.
The name on the screen was Alpha George.
Sabrina answered without greeting him. "Why are you calling?"
George's voice came through cold and impatient. "What are you doing, Sabrina?"
She let out a quiet breath. "Watching your livestream."
"There is nothing for you to watch," George snapped. "That ring is only a business sample. Mia is helping with a promotional shoot."
Sabrina stared at the divorce papers. "A business sample?"
"Yes," George said firmly. "Stop thinking too much. You always make simple things complicated."
Her eyes hardened. "Then why is Mia showing it from your desk?"
George sighed like she was wasting his time. "Because the shoot is being done in my office. That is all. Do you understand?"
Sabrina's wolf growled deep inside her.
He is lying.
She pressed her fingers against her chest and kept her voice steady. "George, you know how this looks."
"I don't care how it looks," he answered. "I care about stopping this stupid drama."
Her lips parted in disbelief. "Stupid drama?"
"Yes. People are talking because you keep making a scene. You should know your place as the Luna of Crimson Shadow Pack."
George continued, sounding more annoyed. "Mia is only helping me with business. Don't attack her, don't post anything, and don't start another fight."
Sabrina looked again at the ring.
The ring she designed.
The ring that should never have been in Mia's hands.
Her voice became calm. "George, I want a divorce."
Silence filled the line.
For several seconds, neither of them spoke.
Sabrina looked at the papers on the coffee table. "The signed papers are on the coffee table in the living room. I'll have Agnes pack up your things."
George finally spoke, and his voice was colder than before. "What did you say?"
"I said I want a divorce," Sabrina repeated. "I'm done."
A sharp growl came from George's side of the call. His Alpha wolf was close to the surface, but Sabrina did not fear him anymore.
"Victoria—" George began angrily, then corrected himself. "Sabrina, stop making a scene."
"I know how to handle Mia," George continued. "Don't interfere with my business or my relationship with her."
Sabrina's eyes burned, but she refused to cry. "You don't get to decide that for me."
George ignored her. "And don't mention divorce again."
Sabrina's breathing slowed. "Why?"
"Because I said so," George replied. "You are my mate and my Luna. You will stay where you belong and stop embarrassing me."
George's words cut deep. After everything they had shared, he could still speak to her like she was an unwanted problem.
Sabrina looked at the divorce papers again.
Then she reached for the pen.
George was still talking. "I have no time for this nonsense. Stay home, calm down, and stop reacting to every rumor online. I'll deal with Mia myself."
Her hand moved across the first page.
She signed her name.
Sabrina Johnson.
Amira spoke softly inside her.
This is the end of begging for his love.
Sabrina signed the second page and placed the pen down.
George was still speaking through the phone. "Sabrina, are you listening?"
She picked up the phone and answered calmly, "Yes. I heard everything."
"Good," George said coldly. "Then remember what I told you. No divorce."
Sabrina looked at her signature.
A faint, fearless smile touched her lips. "You already lost the right to decide my life, George."
Before he could answer, she ended the call.
Sabrina looked at the livestream. Mia was still smiling beside the ring.
Sabrina turned off the screen.
They held the cold strength of a hidden wolf.
She had spent years hiding who she truly was.
Now, she would stop wasting that strength on a man who never valued his mate.
