Chapter 4
"Tell the security guards to throw him out." Julia gritted her teeth, her face dark with anger.
Sherly froze for a moment, didn't dare ask more, and hurried off to gather the security guards.
Ethan was stunned. He and Bianca had no invitation, so they'd been stuck outside at first. Only after the wedding ceremony ended did the guards reluctantly let them in. Yet he was being kicked out before he'd even stayed long.
Ethan threw a tantrum, breaking free from the men holding him. "Who the hell are you? Do you know my relationship with Mr. Glenn?"
"How dare you—" Sherly's face darkened, about to scold Ethan, but Julia stopped her with a gesture.
Julia steadied herself, forcing down the hatred in her heart. Then she sneered, "Do you have an invitation?"
She didn't remember Ethan's name being on any invitation. If it had been, she would've noticed it at a glance.
Ethan's face turned pale, his arrogance deflating half instantly. But with so many people watching, he had to put on a brave front. "That's none of your business. With my connection to Mr. Glenn, I don't need an invitation to be here."
Seeing his detestable face, Julia clenched her jaw tightly.
She'd never forget how painful and desperate she'd felt three years ago, when Ethan coldly ordered four or five tough guys to force her into the nursing home.
She'd just given birth then. If she hadn't made some friends in that nursing home, she probably wouldn't have survived.
Her hatred for him had been piling up. The physical and mental revulsion made her want to vomit—more than she had during her pregnancy.
At that moment, a woman's voice spoke up. "We're VIPs. Can you afford to offend us?"
Bianca stepped forward then. She was wearing a white dress, deliberately twisting her waist as she walked, trying hard to look sexy.
She stood beside Ethan, about to say more, but froze when she saw Julia's face.
Bianca thought the face looked exactly like Julia's, but quickly dismissed the idea as ridiculous.
That fat woman could never be the delicate, stunning beauty in front of her. Besides, Bianca was certain Julia was dying in a nursing home right now.
Overcome with jealousy at Julia's breathtaking face—even without makeup—she couldn't help snapping, "Who are you anyway?"
She raised her voice on purpose. People at the nearby tables all glanced over, then gasped in shock. Ethan and Bianca were provoking none other than Lucas' wife.
Sherly was furious at the insults Bianca and Ethan hurled at Julia. She tried to speak several times, but Julia stopped her each time.
Even though she was a maid, she worked for the Glenn family and was respected everywhere. She'd never been treated like this before.
"She's right," Ethan tilted his head back, sneering. "If anyone's leaving, it's you."
Julia narrowed her eyes.
"Aren't you going to throw her out already?" Regaining his confidence, Ethan snapped at the two bodyguards nearby. "Do I have to tell Lucas myself to get rid of her?"
Before he finished speaking, a cup of icy liquid splashed sharply onto his face. The air froze instantly.
Ethan stared wide-eyed in disbelief as red wine dripped down his face. It took him a long moment to realize Julia had dumped a whole cup of red wine on him.
"Ethan, are you okay?" Bianca was equally shocked. She quickly grabbed some tissues from a nearby table and fumbled to wipe him down. But the sticky wine made the tissues tear into pieces, sticking to Ethan's face and refusing to come off.
"Stop." Ethan shoved her away roughly, his eyes turning completely red with rage. He gritted his teeth at Julia. "How dare you pour wine on me?!"
He was a public figure, and many people here recognized him. The woman's action had completely ruined his reputation in the entertainment industry.
Julia calmly set down the empty wine glass, snorting coldly, "So what if I did?"
