To make room for his precious little ex, Dylan Reed slapped a divorce settlement on the table. The terms? I walk away empty-handed, save for a rundown apartment in the middle of nowhere as a pathetic consolation prize. His kiss-ass assistant chimed in with a sneer, "Don't push your luck, Ms. Jennings. Mr. Reed is being more than generous by putting a roof over your head. With your garbage degree and zero background, you'd be out on the streets flipping burgers without him." I let out a dry laugh. Snatching the contract, I casually folded it into a paper airplane and chucked it straight into the trash. "Amnesia acting up again, Dylan? Care to remind me whose name is on the deed to this mansion?" I snapped my fingers. Instantly, half a dozen burly bodyguards in black suits swarmed the room. "Throw these trespassing pieces of trash out." Dylan's face turned purple. Just as he was about to blow up, his phone rang. It was the bank—every single one of his accounts had just been frozen. He stared at me in absolute horror. I didn't even blink, simply raising my hand as my butler slid a massive canary diamond ring onto my finger. "Oh, silly me. Did I forget to mention?" I smirked. "The majority shareholder of the Reed Group isn't a Reed. It's a Jennings."
