Chapter 3

When I woke up again, I found myself floating in the air, weightless and strangely detached.

But my body was still lying on the bed below.

She lay there with her eyes closed, peaceful and silent.

Blood stained the corner of her lips, and the pillow was smeared with red.

I looked down at her, totally confused and in disbelief.

Then I looked at myself—my body was half-transparent, kind of like a ghost.

After a long moment, it finally hit me.

I was dead.
