Chapter 3
My cheeks flushed. "No, not in the office. Someone might see us."
"No one will. They won't dare come in without my permission," Edward said.
"It's too much, Edward, please stop..." I groaned.
I couldn't stop trembling.
Two hours later, Edward was still going at it.
He was so relentless, and I was in so much pain I felt like my whole world was spinning.
How could he have improved so much in just one night?
He looked completely satisfied, straightening his collar lazily before getting back to work.
My eyes drifted to the pen in his hand, and my cheeks flushed hot.
It took me a while to get up, and when I finally did, my legs felt like jelly and I could barely stand.
It was crazy.
Ever since we unlocked the office as a new spot, Edward kept tempting me to try it in even more places, like the bathroom, in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, the study, and even the underground garage.

Before I knew it, a month had flown by.
Edward and I made love every night. It was all passion, no skill.
My memory had pretty much recovered, to the point where I could handle work normally again.
But when it came to memories of Edward, my mind was just a blank slate.
That morning, I bounded downstairs, excited to share the good news with Edward.
His hand froze, and his fork clattered to the floor. The smile on his face vanished in an instant.
"Edward, are you upset? Is it because I still can't remember you?" I asked.
"No, I'm really happy," he replied.
Then he quickly added, "Did anything about me come back to you?"
"Not really," I replied.
"Okay," he said.
We sat in silence for a moment, and I couldn't shake this weird feeling I couldn't quite explain.
Edward wiped his mouth, looking a bit uneasy, and said, "Oh, by the way, I have to head out on a business trip to the next city. I might be gone for ten days, maybe even two weeks."
"Alright, let me help you pack," I offered.
After Edward left for his business trip, I couldn't get used to it.
There was no one to eat with, no one to help me out in the shower, and worst of all, no one to keep me warm at night.
Lying alone in that big, cold bed, I couldn't stop my mind from wandering.
Edward hadn't messaged me once in three days, and whenever I texted him, he'd only reply after three or four hours.
I figured he was just swamped with work.
But then a crazy thought popped into my head. What if he was keeping a woman on the side? Could it be Jessica?
The more I thought about it, the more my mind spun. I couldn't resist and gave him a video call to check on him.
He picked up right away.
His handsome face filled the screen, and as I glanced down, I saw his bathrobe barely tied, the collar slipping off one side, showing off his defined shoulders and that irresistible collarbone.
I swallowed hard, my heart skipping a beat.
He nervously avoided my gaze, and I caught it instantly.
My heart sank.
"Edward, are you cheating on me?" I blurted out.
He froze, his face full of shock. "What? I swear, you're the only woman in my life."
"I don't believe you. Turn the camera around," I demanded.
I looked all around, but there wasn't a single trace of another woman.
Edward's assistant even sent me his schedule. It was packed from morning till night. He was way too busy to mess around.
Finally, my worries melted away.
Edward lounged on the couch, lazily loosening the belt of his bathrobe, his sculpted chest and ripped abs threatening to burst free.
The sight on the screen was almost too much to handle. A sudden wave of desire washed over me.
My voice came out a little rushed. "Can you show me a little more?"
Edward obediently complied.
After a few minutes, my cheeks burned, the heat refusing to fade.
I just lay there in bed for a while, trying to calm myself down, before finally dragging myself to the bathroom to clean up.

Ever since Edward left for his business trip, I'd been marking off the days on the calendar, just waiting for him to come home.
Finally, the last day rolled around, and I couldn't wait to text him.
[Edward, can I have some milk tonight?] I sent the message with a blushing emoji.
He replied, totally serious, [Which brand? I'll have my assistant get it for you.]
I couldn't help rolling my eyes as I carefully picked out a nightgown. Did he seriously not get what I meant?
I was too annoyed to even reply.
I waited all morning for Edward, but instead, an unexpected guest showed up at the door.
It was Jessica.
She curled her lips into a sly smirk. "Vivian, so you and Edward both have amnesia? No wonder you two are still married. I won't make a fuss about that slap you gave me last time."
We never told anyone about our amnesia, just to make sure the stock prices for both companies wouldn't tank. I had no clue how Jessica managed to find out.
"Bet you're dying to know what things were like between you two before the whole amnesia thing, huh?" she said.
