Chapter 1
I got into a car crash on my way to divorce.
Both my arch-enemy Edward Grant and I lost our memories.
When I woke up, everyone said we were a loving couple.
Looking at Edward's handsome face, I couldn't help feeling lucky.
Later, we made love every night.
It was all passion, no skill.
It all ended on the day I suddenly remembered everything.
I rushed to Edward's company to ask for a divorce, but I heard his friend joke, "Edward, are you hooked on faking amnesia now? When are you planning to confess to Vivian?"
Edward played with his lighter and gave a small sneer. "What do you know? It feels great having my enemy moaning under me."
I froze where I stood.
So he had been playing with me the whole time.
That night, I took my revenge.

The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was a bunch of faces looming over me.
"She's awake. Quick, get the doctor," a woman said, her voice buzzing with excitement.
I stared at them, totally dazed, my eyes wide and blank.
"You know who I am?" I asked.
As soon as I said that, they all looked at each other. Now it was their turn to be confused.
"Vivian, it's me, your mom. Don't you remember?" the elegant woman in front of me asked, her voice trembling with tears.
I shook my head.
The doctor soon came in and explained that I'd lost my memory because of a bad car crash. The bleeding in my brain was to blame. He said it might take weeks, or even months, before things start coming back.
I just took it in stride.
Seeing how lost I looked, everyone started introducing themselves one after another.
"Vivian, I'm your dad," said a man.
"Vivian, I'm your mother-in-law," another woman jumped in.
"Vivian, I'm your father-in-law," the last man added.
As I glanced around, I locked eyes with the guy in the next bed. He looked just as lost and confused as I did.
My gaze dropped to his face, and I was surprised by how handsome he was.
Even that baggy blue-and-white hospital gown couldn't hide his good looks. He looked a little pale, but still hot as hell. Seriously, just one glance and I swear I could get pregnant.
Damn, I was in love already.
"Mom, who's he?" I asked, my cheeks burning red.
Mom hesitated for a moment before answering, "That's Edward Grant. He's your husband. You two were in the accident together. He woke up two hours before you, but he lost his memory too."
Wait, my husband? With such a hottie as my husband, I seriously hit the jackpot.
I couldn't help but grin from ear to ear.
"Babe," I called out, flashing him a sweet smile.
Edward's eyes went wide. He looked totally stunned, like he couldn't believe his ears.
Everyone else just froze, staring at us.
I wondered if I said something wrong.
"Aren't we supposed to be close?" I asked, genuinely confused.
My mother-in-law was the first to react.
"You two are childhood sweethearts, always so close. And after you got married, things only got better," she said.
The others all chimed in, "Yeah, you two are madly in love. Even during the accident, you were clinging to each other."
That put my mind at ease.
I slipped right into Edward's bed before he could even react.
The bed in the VIP room was massive; no way we'd feel crowded lying together.
I grabbed his arm and snuggled up to his chest, rubbing my forehead against him. "Babe, I love you so much."
Edward instantly froze, his cheeks flushing bright red.
He was so pure and shy, which made me love him even more.
The next second, his warm hand slid over my back and gently pulled me closer.
"I love you too, babe," he murmured.
I snuggled up in his arms, feeling safe and content.
Everyone watched us with fond, doting smiles, totally satisfied as they left the room.
*****
Three days later, Edward and I were finally discharged from the hospital and headed home.
The first night back, I put on something skimpy and spent a good while striking sexy poses by the bed.
Edward's body was insanely hot, and his abs felt amazing. Back in the hospital, I was always the one changing his bandages, and I totally took the chance to get a little handsy.
I'd been craving him for ages, but I had no idea how to bring up the idea of having sex. And honestly, I had no clue who usually made the first move before we lost our memories.
Just as I was lost in my messy thoughts, the soft patter of the shower suddenly stopped.
Edward stepped out, his upper body bare, a white towel slung low around his hips.
His hair was still damp, and beads of water slid down his skin, gliding over his sculpted abs and down his defined V-line, finally vanishing beneath the towel.
His body was the perfect V-shape, his proportions completely unfair. He was radiating sex appeal, and I couldn't look away.
He walked toward me, step by step, and my heart skipped a beat. I swallowed hard, clutching the sheets without even realizing it.
"Babe, I'm ready," I said, closing my eyes with a soft, expectant smile.
