Chapter 4

When I woke up, the sharp scent of disinfectant attacked my nostrils. I saw the white ceiling.

The nurse beamed at me. "You're awake!"

I nodded and asked, "Who sent me here?"

"It was your family," the nurse replied.

At that moment, I felt complex.

Never had I expected my family to send me to the hospital.

The nurse hesitated for quite a while before she silently patted my hand.

"What's wrong?" I asked, puzzled.

Agitated, the nurse said, "Nothing. You are so weak that the doctor gave you some glucose. You need food."
