James stood by the hospital bed, his expression as dark as a storm.

He said, "Emily, our baby is gone. Are you happy now?

"I don't get it. What will it take for you to finally be satisfied?"

I was lost in the pain of losing our baby, tears slipping down my cheeks.

But then, suddenly, a ridiculous idea flashed through my mind.

I sprang up, grabbed his collar, and shouted, "You knew I was pregnant when I was in the hospital last time, didn't you? Why didn't you tell me?"

But James didn't even react. He looked at me…
