Chapter 11
11.His Personal Servant
Donatello went straight to the rooftop to clear his head. He removed a cigar from his pocket and lit it.
He believed that with Julia on her new duty, he would be able to forget about her and focus on what was important. The one that could jeopardize his whole business.
Before long, Marcello came in and went directly to where Don was standing.
“You sent for me, boss.” Marcello said with a bow.
“Any updates on Martin?” Don said, turning to face him.
“Not yet, sir,” he said, “we have closely monitored him and nothing is amiss.
“When is he leaving for the US?” Don asked.
“Preparations are being made so I presume he will be leaving soon.”
Don released a puff of smoke.
“Send a few men–two ideally–to follow him covertly all the way to the United States. Let them keep a tail on him and report any findings to me.”
“Yes, sir”
He was too familiar with his brother to put his confidence in him. He may appear innocent at the moment, but Don has a feeling that something serious is about to happen.

“Greet the boss, present the coffee with a bow, then leave.” Julia recited what Mrs Lorenzo had told her as she carried the coffee to the boss study room.
She sneered after repeating it for the third time.
“I can't believe I'm doing this.” she tells herself as she walks towards the office.
She knocked twice before opening the door. She took the coffee and walked over to the desk where Don was sitting.
“Good day boss,” Julia said with a bow as she put the coffee on the table, not forgetting the bow.
She was about to depart when the boss's raspy voice interrupted her.
“You are one minute late.”
Julia came to a complete halt; she had forgotten that Mrs. Lorenzo had assured her that the boss would always keep track of the time.
“I apologize, sir, and I acknowledge that I am a little late, but it will not happen again.”
“Did you say it was a little late? Or late??” He raised a questioning brow.
“Late, sir.” She clarified.
“Take out the coffee and get me a new one!” he ordered.
As she walks out with the coffee, Don smirks. At least she was already taking note of her place. She is only his servant, and he expects her to do her job properly.
With due respect.

Julia stormed out of the room, upset. She was annoyed by his obnoxious manner.
Who does he think he is? She questioned herself.
When she returned to the kitchen, Mrs Lorenzo stared at her and said, “First mission, but you jeopardized it.”
“I went in a minute late.” Julia tried to defend herself.
“You do not speak back young woman!” Mrs Lorenzo reprimanded her quickly.
“Make another cup quickly and go serve him again.” She said after some silence and left the room in anger.
“So much attitude everywhere” Julia murmured grudgingly, as she struggled with the coffee machine.
Don was getting on her nerves and she did not like it.
“Someone needs to talk sense into his head, and it would be me.”

After a few minutes, Julia returned with a second cup of coffee. In an attempt to fix her error, she arrived a few minutes early.
“Your coffee, sir” she said, with a smile as she dropped it on the table.
Looking at the cup in front of him, he lifted it up and took a sip.
“How many cubes of sugar did you put in here?”
“Two, sir,” she responded.
“I only need a cube of sugar in my coffee. Take it out.”
Julia, now enraged, walked to the table, grabbed the cup, and drank its contents.
“You sir, are very rude and wicked!” she yelled and stormed out.
How daring! Don grinned.
He admired her audacity. Her attitude is what drew him to her, and he can not seem to suppress his emotions. He had her in his possessions, yet she appeared to dominate him in an unusual way.
Now he felt like holding her, feeling her body on his but he has to restrain himself.
“Marcello,” he called out to his assistant.
“Yes boss,” The man answered.
“Get the car ready. I need to visit the club.”
He needs to take his mind off Julia.
“A few sexy ladies would suffice.” He said to himself before walking out of the office.
