Synopsis

The smart board flashed a text to the young teacher: "Claire thinks I am working overnight. Meet me at our usual spot, baby."-Sender: Liam Dad. Thirty-two parents and the school principal stared straight at me. I did not shed a single tear. I dialed my husband on speakerphone in front of the entire room. He played the exhausted executive stuck in an emergency audit. Exactly three seconds after I hung up, the big screen flashed a new notification: "Handled the old ball and chain in ten seconds. See you in the parking lot in five minutes, baby."
