Over the past six years, Randy had thrown plenty of labels at me.

"You're overthinking it," "You're too sensitive," "You're obsessing again."

Every single one of those words was him dismissing my feelings in this relationship.

Randy sighed and stepped closer, pulling me into a hug.

"Babe, I know what you're worried about, but Lisa is long gone," he said.

Babe was what he called me when he was trying to smooth things over.

It always felt like whenever he called me that, I could let everything slide.

But now I finally see it. All those "Babes" were just sweet…
