Chapter 5
My arrogant attitude completely infuriated the netizens.
One of Ethan's fans started flooding the comments.
[Seeing your ugly mug makes me so mad I could cough up all my blood! How can you still have the guts to live!]
I set down my coffee cup, stared at the screen, and read out the username.
"Dr. Harrison's Wifey, right?
"Cough up all your blood? I can help you with that."
Everyone in the live stream was laughing at me for playing tricks.
However, only three minutes had passed.
The one suddenly requested to join the live stream.
I answered casually.
The screen split in two, revealing a cluttered bedroom on the other side.
A chubby woman was lying in front of the computer desk, her mouth spitting blood wildly.
It was really shooting out, like a fountain.
The keyboard and screen were dyed red.
Beside her, a man was panicking, not knowing what to do as he frantically dialed 911 on his phone.
"Honey! What's wrong? Please, stop!" the man said.
The woman kept vomiting blood, her face twisted in panic as she stared at the camera, unable to say a single coherent sentence.
The live stream was instantly quiet.
The comment section froze for ten seconds.
Then, the comments blew up.
[Damn! She really vomited blood!]
[Really? No way this is real!]
[Can't you see those blood clots? She's almost dying!]
At this time, another anti-fan came.
[Quit acting all high and mighty! You disgusted me so much that I couldn't help vomiting! If you're so badass, make me vomit now!]
I smiled.
"No problem. Vomit, right?" I said.
Less than five minutes later, a big shot from the same city dropped a post.
[Just got an emergency case. Some dude was at home and suddenly began vomiting nonstop. He's in surgery right now!]
He even shared a pixelated pic from the operating room.
Netizens did some digging and found out the emergency patient was the fan who'd just been mouthing off.
This time, the live stream went absolutely wild.
Hundreds of thousands of people witnessed as my words became reality right before their eyes.
All those hate comments instantly disappeared without a trace.
Instead, the screen was full of "Sorry" and "Have mercy!"
No one dared to pretend to be sick or beg for sympathy in my live stream anymore.
They didn't even dare to say they had a headache.
Looking at the spotless comment section, I smiled with satisfaction.
I asked, "Anyone else got an illness they want me to fix? Tell me."
The whole stream went very silent.
Then I just ended the stream.
From that day on, nobody even dared to mention my name online anymore.
The online uproar Ethan had whipped up was easily resolved by me.
The online drama had finished, but the real-life mess was far from over.
Luna was blind and wracked with pain, stuck in the hospital, feeling worse than death.
The high medical expenses had almost emptied Ethan's savings.
Desperate to save herself, Luna called her mom, Mabel Cooper, in the countryside.
Mabel was famously fierce.
Learning that Luna had been bullied in the city, Mabel rushed over by train overnight.
The next morning, Mabel showed up outside my company building with a bunch of relatives, hauling a big white banner and blocking the entrance.
The banner read, "Chloe, you vicious bitch, return Luna's health!"
Mabel sat in the center of the company's entrance, slapping her thighs and crying.
She shouted, "There's no justice! Rich folks trample on lives!
"My perfectly healthy girl. Now she's blind and has got some incurable disease, all because of Chloe!
"Everybody, come check out this evil-hearted woman!"
It was the morning rush, and the downstairs of the company was crowded with people watching the scene of bustle.
The security guards couldn't stop this mob of relatives, who were rolling around and causing absolute chaos.
I got a call from the front desk in the office, sneered, and took the elevator downstairs.
As soon as I walked out, Mabel spotted me.
Her eyes lit up, and she rushed over to me, reaching for my hair.
The security guards quickly stopped her.
When Mabel realized she couldn't reach me, she didn't miss a beat. Her eyes flicked around, and she dropped herself to the ground in one smooth, practiced move.
She hugged her right leg and rolled wildly on the ground.
She shouted, "Help me! She's hitting me! These rich people are out to kill me!
"She broke my leg! I'm doomed!"
The crowd started whispering and pointing, their eyes glued to us.
I shoved the security guards aside and walked in front of Mabel, looking down at her coldly.
I asked, "Are you sure your leg is broken?"
Mabel thought I was afraid, so she yelled even louder.
She shouted, "It's broken! My leg's shattered! If you don't pay me 1.5 million dollars today, I'm dying right here at your company's front door!"
I just nodded and took a step back.
