Chapter 1
I bought myself an accompanying Gigolo and pestered him for sex almost every day.
But he refused every time.
I racked my brain trying to tame him. I thought about just forcing myself on him, and even asked customer service staff, Poppy Reed, for advice.
But Poppy just kept apologizing to me.
Poppy: [Sorry. We double-checked, and it looks like we sent you the wrong one. He's actually a housekeeping Gigolo, not a companion one. He doesn't do sex services.]
Poppy: [Please, don't get too close to him. It's illegal to force a gigolo into anything. If he gets pushed to his limit, he could lose control, and your safety might be at risk.]
A cold sweat broke out on my back. I threw Silas Voss's pillow and blanket out of my room right away.
Unexpectedly, Silas actually took the initiative to knock on my door.
His voice was low, with a hint of heaviness I almost missed.
He asked, "What are you doing? You don't need me anymore?"
*****
"Yeah," I replied.
I avoided his gaze, feeling really embarrassed. I mumbled, "I haven't been sleeping well recently, so I just want to sleep alone."
Silas stared at me for a while, his handsome features tightening just a bit, but he said nothing.
He turned around and went to the guest room.
When he left without any fuss, I breathed a quiet sigh of relief. But deep down, I couldn't help feeling a little sad.
Honestly, I'd always sensed Silas's resistance to me.
He didn't like getting close to me, and he kept refusing my sex advances again and again.
I had to pester and threaten him just to get him to agree to sleep with me.
I pulled rank as his owner and warned him that if he didn't share a room with me, I'd just get myself another Gigolo.
That was when he finally moved in, looking all grumpy about it.
But so, Silas always kept a distance from me when we slept, curling up with his back to me.
I always thought I'd gotten a secret, slow-to-warm Gigolo, one that just needed time and effort to unlock.
Turns out, he was actually a proper gentleman, totally off-limits, and He really had no feelings for me.
Thinking about how I'd acted like a desperate perv around Silas in the past few months, I couldn't help but feel embarrassed.
Just then, Poppy sent me another message.
Poppy: [I'm really sorry about this. It was our fault. Please don't leave us a bad review, okay?]
Poppy: [Would you like us to arrange a full refund for you?]
I replied with a hint of regret. [No, that's alright.]
Scarlett: [Although he can't be my companion, he's actually really good at others.]
Silas was a total pro at housework. He could steam buns that were soft and creamy, make my bedding smell fresh and clean, and even wash my hair so I never had split ends.
I couldn't leave him anymore.
Poppy: [Alright, I got it! We'll send you an accompanying Gigolo as a replacement.]
I felt a little shameless for being so excited. But from the start, an accompanying Gigolo was what I wanted.
If Silas wasn't up for it, then hooking up with someone else shouldn't be a problem, right?
I shot back an "OK" to Poppy quickly.
After that, most of the bitterness and disappointment in my heart melted away.
When I woke up the next day, I instinctively reached out for Silas, but my hand landed on nothing but cold sheets.
My mind blanked for a moment, and I felt a little disappointed.
Guess I'd gotten so used to having Silas beside me these days, being apart felt strange and lonely.
Resigned, I got up, got dressed, and washed up, only to find Silas already making breakfast.
He was tall and lean, wearing the pink apron I'd bought him, tied loosely around his waist.
His jawline was sharp, his nose straight. Honestly, he was so ridiculously handsome it should be illegal.
I spat out the toothpaste foam and cursed the seller a thousand times in my heart.
Seriously, making a housekeeping Gigolo this hot is just a waste of good looks!
After washing up, I sat down quietly at the dining table and waited for breakfast.
But out of nowhere, Silas walked out holding a plate in one hand and, with the other, unexpectedly picked me up from my chair, settling me onto his lap.
"What are you doing?" I stammered.
I pressed my hands against his chest in a panic, trying my best to keep my distance from him.
But Silas gripped my wrist tightly. I was forced to raise my hand, meeting his shadowy, unreadable gaze.
His expression was blank, impossible to tell if he was angry or joyful.
Silas asked, "Isn't it my job to feed you?"
Back then, I was always annoyed by Silas's indifference to me, so I kept coming up with new ways to force him into bonding tasks.
In addition to cooking for me, he had to feed me.
And regular feeding wasn't enough. I insisted on sitting right on his lap, making him feed me slowly, bite by bite.
At first, Silas was clearly uncomfortable with it.
But his protests didn't matter. I was the little tyrant in charge.
