The day of Wilbur's basketball league game, I decided not to go.

Leila asked me multiple times before she left. "You're seriously not going?"

I shook my head.

She nodded slowly, a knowing look on her face. "I get it. You're playing hard to get."

I was left speechless.

I just wasn't in the mood. Nothing more.

I heard Wilbur's team won.

Stuart texted me the good news and invited me out to eat with them.

But Wilbur never called or texted me, not even once.

It was like I wasn't even his girlfriend, or maybe he didn't see me…
