Chapter 1
My cold, distant childhood crush lost his memory and became dumber.
I lied to him, saying, "I'm your girlfriend. You loved most."
He blushed and let me kiss him and hug him, and the little devil inside me laughed like crazy.
Every day, I teased him in new ways. I watched him turn from an ice-cold prince into a clingy, easily flustered puppy.
Then one day, I pushed open the study door by accident and heard him sneer into the phone, "If I didn't pretend to lose my memory, would she throw herself at me?"
The ice cream slipped from my hand and hit the floor.
From the very beginning, I was the rabbit who walked into the wolf's den.

When Liam Olsen got into a car accident, I was off on vacation overseas.
As soon as I got the news, I caught the first overnight flight home.
In the hospital room, the guy who always acted like I was a nuisance, and usually colder than a block of ice, now had bandages wrapped around his head.
He sat there, his eyes clear and innocent, like some university freshman.
He looked at me, tilted his head, and asked in a deep, magnetic voice, "Who are you?"
My heart skipped a beat.
Liam, the head of Olsen Group, had killer abs, an insane V-line, and stood at 6.2 feet tall. He was always telling me what to do.
Now he had lost his memory?
The doctor said he hit his head and might have temporary memory loss.
Staring at his gorgeous face, the devil in me suddenly sprang to life.
I walked over to his bedside, squeezed out a couple of tears, and even pinched my thigh just to make it look real.
"Liam, did you seriously forget me?" I sniffled, making my voice as pitiful as I could manage. "I'm your girlfriend!"
Liam froze.
He stared at me fixedly, and his ears went bright red in an instant.
"G-girlfriend?" His voice was hoarse.
I gave a firm nod and grabbed his hand.
His hand was strong, with long fingers and a warm palm.
"Yeah. We've been together for three years," I lied through my teeth without blinking. "Before the accident, you promised to marry me as soon as you got out of the hospital."
Liam's breath hitched. He was totally thrown off.
He looked at me, then down at our intertwined hands.
"But I... I don't remember any of it," he said, his brows furrowed, looking genuinely bothered.
I leaned in close, our noses almost touching.
I could catch a faint woodsy scent lingering around him.
"It's okay. I'll help you remember," I said, winking and dropping my voice to a teasing whisper. "Babe. You always loved it when I called you that."
Liam swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing.
He was frozen, like a volcano about to erupt, barely keeping it together.
I was practically bursting with glee inside.
In the past, if I so much as leaned in a little, he'd give me a frosty glare and tell me to keep my distance.
But now, he could only sit there and let me do whatever I wanted.
The nurse came in to change his bandages, caught sight of us so close together, and immediately blushed, looking away.
I heard a little squeal from the doorway. The nurse gushed, "Oh my god, Mr. Olsen and his girlfriend are so cute. His face is totally red."
I arched my brow smugly.
Liam, you totally brought this on yourself.
You were always laying down the law, telling me not to wear short skirts or hit the club.
Well, now it was my turn to call the shots.
*****
I went to pick Liam up the day he got out of the hospital.
He had on a plain white shirt. The top two buttons were left undone, giving a teasing glimpse of those sculpted collarbones.
Seriously, with that body, he was a walking thirst trap.
I clung to him like a shadow, looping my arm through his and half my body glued to his side.
"Babe, slow down," I said in my cutest, sugary-sweet tone.
Liam was stiff as a rock, but he didn't push me away.
Instead, I could feel his arm shaking ever so slightly.
That kind of reaction only happened when someone was either totally thrilled or barely keeping it together.
I couldn't help but laugh inwardly. How did I never notice Liam was this shy and innocent before?
Back at his massive penthouse, I flopped onto the couch like I owned the place.
"Liam, I'm starving. I want to eat your rib eye steak," I said.
Liam stood awkwardly in the middle of the living room.
He glanced at the kitchen, then back at me.
"I can cook?" he asked, looking puzzled.
I widened my eyes, giving him my most sincere puppy eyes. "Of course! You even took special cooking classes just for me. Did you forget already?"
Liam went quiet.
Those hands that could sign contracts worth millions were now awkwardly shoved into his pockets, looking totally lost.
