Chapter 1
After spending 30 million in wedding gifts, I confessed to marriage fraud.
But the nanny's daughter, Chloe Harrington, was losing her mind.
On May 5th, Harrington Group and Moore Group were supposed to seal their marriage alliance. But as the bride, instead of walking down the aisle, I was locked away in a tiny dark room.
By the time I finally made it to the wedding venue, Chloe had already completed the ceremony, pretending to be me.
I stepped onto the stage and declared I was the true heiress of Harrington Group, but everyone at the company questioned my claim.
All because Chloe had been posing as me and showing off in the company for the past six months.
Chloe kicked me to the ground. "You're the nanny's daughter. How dare you make a scene here?"
Before I could even show any proof, Chloe's bodyguards tossed me out into the street.
A car passed by and ran me over. I was killed instantly.
When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back on the day before the wedding.

Chloe announced in the company group chat: [Guys, I'm getting married tomorrow. Make sure you all come. No gifts needed, just come and join the fun.]
When I saw Chloe's message, my heart skipped a beat.
I couldn't believe it. I had actually time-travelled back to the day before Chloe stole my identity to marry into the Moore family.
Others replied: [So the rumors about Harrington Group and Moore Group getting a marriage alliance are actually true.]
[Man, I'm lucky to witness a wedding between two rich families. Ms. Harrington and Mr. Moore will definitely be a perfect match.]
The group chat blew up with congratulations.
Maybe because she noticed I just joined the group yesterday, Chloe quickly added: [It's not some marriage alliance. We grew up together.]
But after Chloe said that, the group chat exploded with messages.
Someone sent: [What a lovely couple! Turns out, rich people's love stories are even sweeter than we imagined.]
I gripped my phone so tightly that my palms started to sweat.
I was about to ask in the group chat who she was marrying tomorrow when someone knocked on my door.
Chloe walked in, looking apologetic. "Selina, I'm getting married tomorrow, too. Sorry I won't be able to make it to your wedding.
"Can I set off for my wedding from this villa tomorrow?"
In my previous life, Chloe said the exact same thing.
Chloe had been living in our house with her mom since childhood. She never had her own place.
We grew up together, and I always treated her like my own little sister.
I let her wear my clothes and even helped her get into Harrington Group.
So when she said she was getting married on the same day as me, I didn't suspect a thing. I looked at her, totally jealous, and wished her happiness, hoping she'd really found true love.
Not only did I agree to let her leave for her wedding from our villa, but I even picked out a gold hairpin from my wedding gifts from my mom and gave it to her as a wedding gift.
But I never imagined Chloe's greed would be endless.
Her so-called wedding was nothing but a scheme. While my brother, Gavin, was away on a business trip, she stole my identity and married into the Moore family.
Since I wasn't happy about the marriage alliance, the wedding between Harrington Group and Moore Group was kept super low-key.
I didn't invite any relatives to attend.
That gave Chloe the perfect chance to pull off her scam.
By the time I got to the wedding venue, the ceremony was already over.
I did everything I could to prove I was the real heiress of Harrington Group, but to my utter disbelief, everyone at Harrington Group only saw Chloe as the heiress.
Chloe put on a pitiful face and said, "Selina, although you're the nanny's daughter, I've always treated you like my own sister. Why would you do this to me on my big day?
"What did the Harrington family ever do to you?"
The security guards dragged me out and dumped me on the street. I pulled out my phone, trying to call Gavin.
But before I could even call for help, I was run down by a speeding car. I died on the spot.
I clenched my fists so hard that my nails dug deep into my palms, and I stared straight back at Chloe.
"Of course not," I said.
Chloe looked genuinely shocked that I turned her down, and her face instantly darkened.
"Selina, did you see the group chat and get the wrong idea? I already explained. I'm marrying my childhood friend," she said, trying to play it off.
"She's not misunderstanding at all. She's just jealous you're prettier and scared you'll steal her spotlight." The nanny, Brenda, chimed in, rolling her eyes.
Putting on her elder act again, she started to lecture me. "Selina, two weddings in one day is a good thing. Don't be so petty.
"You'll both be wearing wedding dresses anyway. It's not like Chloe will totally steal the spotlight."
I pretended to be shocked. "Oh, right. We're both wearing wedding dresses tomorrow. If we both leave from the same house, what if someone picks up the wrong bride?
"So there's no way you can leave for your wedding from my place.
"You'd better head out now and find a hotel to decorate. There's still time."
Chloe freaked out. "Selina, we grew up together. Do you really have to wreck my big day?"
The other servants chimed in, "Chloe's always put you first. She and Brenda have been working for the Harrington family for twenty years, all to look after you. How could you be so cold?"
"Exactly. It's her wedding. If you're not gonna help, at least don't stir up trouble. Don't you have any shame?"
"She's just jealous Chloe's gonna land a better husband."
Someone even went straight to comforting Chloe. "Why should we even bother asking her? She doesn't get a say in this."
"Just wait. We will help set up your wedding room, and it'll look a hundred times better than hers."
