Chapter 6

I started shaking Mom, crying my eyes out, hiccupping between sobs.

When I got tired, I just shoved a fistful of sand into my mouth.

I had no clue where that dog ended up. All I knew was that he was never coming back.

The chubby kid next door was crying his heart out.

At least Mom was still there. She just didn't respond to me.

'Is she mad at me?' I cried even louder.

I cried so hard I started puking uncontrollably. This time, it wasn't yellow water. It was red.
