Chapter 1
After getting PTSD, all I wanted was to end it all. But the System yanked me straight into a love-hate romance about a real and a fake heiress.
In my first life, I was the fake heiress. The whole family doted on the real heiress and treated me like I was invisible.
The real heiress hurt herself and blamed it on me. My adoptive parents dumped me at a dog training camp, and my adoptive brother demanded I pay for my so-called sins with my body.
In the end, I set the house on fire and killed everyone. Then I jumped into the river and ended it all myself.
With the main cast wiped out and the whole world shattered, the System threw me straight into the next one.
In my second life, I was the real heiress, but the whole family sided with the fake one.
The fake heiress pretended to be sick to set me up. My own parents drew my blood to cure her anemia, and my own brother forced me to take sex photos so I could cover for the fake heiress's mess.
Just as the fake heiress came to show off in front of me, the System warned me: [Don't do anything drastic in this world, or your real body will die permanently.]
I laughed.
I didn't care how drastic it looked, because all I really wanted was to die.
So I yanked the fake heiress by the hair, snatched a blood bag, and squeezed it straight down her throat. "Anemia, huh?" I said. "Transfusions take too long. You need to chug it."
The blood bag burst, blood spraying everywhere.
The nurses screamed and jumped back in horror.
I grabbed a needle and started jabbing it into my own arm. "Drink up, you little leech. I have plenty to give."
The plot of this world dictated that the fake heiress would pretend to have anemia, manipulating our biased parents into forcing me, their real daughter with rare Rh-negative blood, to be her personal donor.
What they didn't know was that I had been sick of living for a long time. If this gave me an excuse to bleed out and finally die, I was more than happy to take it.
Maybe I could drag someone down with me.
Vivian Hart, the fake heiress, was terrified. She struggled desperately, her face and hair smeared with blood. The whole scene looked downright creepy. "Help... Help!"
My parents rushed over to stop me. "Stop it! Are you crazy?"
I was not crazy. I just kind of wanted to die.
Back in my original world, the doctors said I had PTSD.
Whenever something set me off, I'd lose control and get violent.
That was why, in the first world, after being treated unfairly, I snapped and burned the whole family alive.
Then the System threw me into the second world.
It warned me that if I killed anyone this time, my real body would die permanently.
How funny.
PTSD didn't only make me violent. It also came with a serious side of suicidal thoughts, too.
Since the System wanted me to take the abuse and do nothing, I'd unleash my violence on these people first, and then let the System finish me off.
That was a win-win.
A swarm of bodyguards burst in and tackled me to the ground.
My parents clung to the blood-soaked, disheveled Vivian, and their hearts ached for her.
Meanwhile, my face was as pale as a ghost, and I was sneering at their pathetic display of fake affection.
My dad, Richard Hart, saw the indifferent look on my face, and his expression twisted. Without warning, he slapped me hard across the face.
He snapped, "How did I end up with a lunatic like you for a daughter?
"You almost killed Vivian just now!
"She's been frail since she was little, and she's timid, too. All she wanted was a bit of your blood. What's the big deal? Why make such a scene?
"Figures you grew up outside. You have no manners at all."
With my arms and legs pinned down, I slammed my head straight into Richard's nose.
He yelped, clutching his face as tears and snot streamed down. "How dare you? I'm your father!"
My mom, Evelyn Hart, rushed over, not even bothering to comfort Vivian, and started scolding me. "How could you hurt your own father?
"Vivian would never act like this..."
I cut her off with a sneer. "You said it yourself that I was raised outside. You gave birth to me but never bothered to raise me. What kind of parents does that make you?
"Vivian has been your little princess for eighteen years. Of course she's nice to you.
"Her parents abused me since I was a kid, treated me worse than a stray dog. You never even thought about getting justice for me. Instead, you drain my blood for her.
"Whatever debt I owed for being brought to this world, consider it paid in full.
"If you still think it's not enough, then keep going. Take every last drop of my blood if you want.
"Not like I care. I've been ready to die for a long time."
Richard and Evelyn were so furious that their faces twisted with rage, and they couldn't get a word out.
The only sane nurse in the room mustered up her courage and spoke up, "Mr. and Mrs. Hart, Ms. Mason has already lost a lot of blood, and she's got other injuries. If you keep taking more, something bad is gonna happen."
Vivian, still queasy from all the blood she just drank, quickly jumped on the nurse's suggestion. "Mom, Dad, let's go home.
"Don't let what Serena did mess up your health."
Richard turned to leave at once. Evelyn sighed heavily, shaking her head. She said, "I have no idea where you picked up all these bad habits.
"Lying nonstop, slandering your adoptive parents, and now threatening your own mom and dad with your life? You used to be such a sweet kid when you were born.
"Forget it. You're not coming home tonight. Stay out and think about your attitude.
"Come back when you finally realize what you did wrong."
