Ethan's eyes were almost popping with rage as he glared at me.

But when he noticed who was standing next to me, he frowned, then smirked with disdain.

He sneered, "An assistant? Guess you'll settle for anyone, huh?"

Just then, Sophia started screaming from outside the party hall.

"Get out of here, Ethan!" she yelled.

Ethan frowned, clearly losing his patience.

Sophia was from Soucrest, but they were in Nordhaven now—if he made a scene here, he'd become the laughing stock of the city.

After weighing his options, Ethan shot me a reassuring glance.
