Chapter 1
After transmigrating as the wicked side character.
I turned the deranged villain into my obedient pet. Once he got a taste of me, he’s utterly addicted. He couldn't get enough, and tangled with me every single night.
Until one night, he suddenly clamped his hand around my throat, snarling viciously, "Emily Lake. Do you have a death wish?"
I looked up, confused, only to meet a pair of sinister, murderous eyes—like he wanted to rip me to shreds.
Shit!
Looks like the villain's been reborn.
I froze for a second, then kicked him away, scrambled out of bed, and bolted.
But My legs turned to jelly, and I could barely move fast. Just as I reached the door, Evan Grant's hand tightened around my neck from behind.
Not the playful kind. Instead, this was the deadly kind.
I grabbed his arm, fighting with everything I had.
I yelled, "Evan, you can't do this!
"I shared your bed for five years, even if I wasn't perfect, I still stuck by you. You can't be so heartless!"
A chilling, hair-raising laugh sounded right behind my ear.
Evan mocked, "Shared my bed?
"Wasn't it you who set me up?
"Did you really think that after your so-called rebirth, acting all fake and nice would make me forgive you?"
I knew all too well how much Evan hated the original Emily in the story. And how he tormented her to the point she wished she was dead.
Naturally, I confessed my identity: "Evan, I'm not the Emily who bullied you. I transmigrated here from another world. You can't blame me for what she did."
Evan's laugh sent chills down my spine. "Oh, really?"
I nodded frantically. "Yeah! I'm really not lying."
Evan sneered with a cold edge. "Alright, then tell me. If you really came from another world, how would you know what I was going to do to you?"
I blanked out for a moment, then realized I'd messed up and quickly tried to fix it. "I transmigrated into the book. That's how I know what's going to happen."
Evan kept sneering, his voice icy. "Still the same old liar, huh? Scheming as always, doing whatever it takes."
I was so desperate that tears welled up in my eyes. "Evan! I really did transmigrate into the story. I'm not lying to you.
"You're so smart that you can tell I'm not like her."
Evan didn't care to see any difference. "Not the same? To me, you two are exactly alike."
Just remembering how Evan took revenge on the original Emily in the story made my stomach drop in fear and despair.
"If you don't believe me, whatever. But can you at least make it quick? I'm begging you, I can't stand pain..." I pleaded.
Evan tightened his grip on my neck. "Mercy? You think you deserve that?"
Evan didn't believe a word I said, and he wasn't about to let me off the hook.
But he seemed to have more important things to deal with, so he didn't get back at me right away.
He used the rope we'd used for our "games" before to tie me up tight.
He was rough with it, and I couldn't help but complain, "Hey, take it easy, that hurts."
Evan gave me a frosty look and kept going in silence.
Suddenly, I realized. He wasn't the Evan I used to know, the one who loved me. My nose started to burn, and tears welled up in my eyes.
