Chapter 3
That evening, Andrew still hadn't come home when Jessica called. "Vivian, can you come pick me up? I've had too much to drink at the bar," she said.
I frowned, but after a moment's thought, I decided to go.
I knew exactly what they were plotting.
After hiding a miniature camera in my bag, I headed out.
As soon as I walked into the bar, I spotted Thomas. Noticing he was solo, I tailed him.
He stepped into a private room, and what happened next totally caught me off guard.
I didn't dare linger. After snapping a few photos, I got out of there fast.
Turning a corner, I almost ran straight into Jessica.
She was seriously drunk, swaying from side to side like she could barely keep her balance.
When she spotted me, she complained, "What took you so long?"
I came up with an excuse on the spot. "Yvonne was throwing a tantrum again. I had to settle her down first."
Jessica grumbled, slurring, "That girl is such a pain."
I ignored her and tried to steer her toward the exit.
"Hey, don't go. Stay and drink a bit more with me," Jessica whined.
She grabbed my arm and pulled me to the other side.
I asked tentatively, "Does Thomas know you're drinking?"
"Yeah, and he's here too," she slurred.
Instantly, my heart skipped a beat.
Jessica quickly led me into another private room.
She downed a shot of liquor and pushed another one toward me. "Come on, drink up."
I shook my head. "Yvonne's still at home. I can't drink."
Jessica was relentless, acting like she wasn't going to back down until I drank.
"Alright, but I'll hit the restroom first," I said, casually setting my bag down on the table, making sure the camera was pointed in the right direction.
Once I was in the restroom, I pulled out my phone and checked the camera feed.
Right on cue, Jessica shot a sly, nasty grin in my direction.
So, she was pretending to be drunk this whole time.
That drink must be spiked.
What should I do now?
Just then, I noticed a sticker on the wall about self-service ordering.
Suddenly, an idea struck me.
I quickly placed an order for a glass of juice on my phone.
Then I stepped out of the restroom.
Moments later, a waiter knocked at the door and came in.
Jessica shot him a glare. "Who let you in here?"
"Someone ordered a juice," the waiter answered.
While Jessica argued with the waiter, I quietly swapped the two glasses of liquor on the table.
After that, I nudged Jessica. "I ordered it for you. You seem pretty wadted."
As soon as the waiter walked out, Jessica urged, "Hurry up and drink. Once we're done, we can go home."
Not missing a beat, I grabbed the glass and knocked it back in one go.
Jessica let out a breath, sipping her juice with a smug little smile.
"You not ready to go yet?" I pressed.
"What's the rush?" Jessica shot back. "Let me finish this first."
I curled my lips into a subtle smile. "Alright."
Before long, Jessica passed out.
What a fool.
Right then, the door swung open and a guy stepped inside.
Even in the darkness, I recognized him instantly—he was one of those creeps who assaulted me in my previous life.
I slid quietly into the darkest part of the room.
He glanced at Jessica, who was sprawling on the table, and asked, "That's her?"
I nodded. "Yeah."
Without another word, the guy scooped Jessica up and carried her out of the room.
Now, Jessica'd have a taste of her own medicine.

As soon as I got home, I pulled up the live camera feed on my phone.
Back at the bar, while Jessica was knocked out cold, I'd secretly clipped the miniature camera onto her hair tie.
On the screen, Thomas looked totally out of it, drunk as a skunk.
He didn't even realize that the woman beneath him was Jessica.
Just like my previous life—everything was happening all over again.
Watching Jessica's satisfied grin, I finally realized just how vicious she truly was.
I saved the recording, along with the one about Thomas.
How could I make the most of this juicy footage? What a sweet burden.
Now, it was Andrew's turn in my little game.
