Chapter 2
In my precious life, Andrew remarried and had a kid less than two months after my death. It was clear he'd already had an affair.
I clenched my fists so hard my nails were digging into my skin.
It was only when the sharp pain cut through my hand that I managed to tamp down the flood of hatred boiling inside me.
Andrew wanted to divorce me and marry the other woman that badly?
He'd even teamed up with Jessica to orchestrate this entire plot to destroy me.
This time, I'd make sure each and every one of them would pay.
Right now, my top priority was to get solid evidence of Andrew being with the other woman.
So I decided to play it cool and investigate quietly, without tipping them off.

Things went exactly the way I thought they would.
Thomas had beaten Jessica to a pulp. Her hair was wild, her clothes ripped, and her arms covered in ugly bruises. She could barely walk, limping with each painful step.
She burst into my house, yelling, "What's wrong with you, Vivian? I begged you to save me, and you just sat there. Fine, whatever. Why did you call the cops? Thomas got even more enraged and beat me up worse."
What an ungrateful woman.
Back in my previous life, I bent over backwards to help her, only to be assaulted by Thomas and his friends.
She'd even started rumors that I had tried to seduce her husband.
I smirked coldly, "What, you think I'm your babysitter? Was I supposed to stand there and get pummeled with you? If I didn't call the cops, what else could I do?"
"You!" Jessica spat, her finger shaking as she pointed at me. "Just you wait. Andrew's gonna teach you a lesson."
I chuckled, "Bring it on, then."

By the time Andrew came back, it was already the early hours of the morning.
I'd only just fallen asleep, holding Yvonne, when a hand suddenly jerked me awake.
In the darkness, I saw Andrew's face, grim and cold.
He leaned in, his voice low and cutting, "Jessica just got beaten up, and you're here sleeping?"
I couldn't help but let out a dry, bitter laugh—how shameless he was.
"Why should I lose any sleep because Jessica got beaten up? I wasn't the one who hit her," I sneered.
I leaned in, catching the subtle scent of perfume lingering on him.
So, he'd been out with the other woman?
With a silent sneer, I fired back, "So where were you when I reached out? Your beloved sister was getting beaten, and you couldn't care less?"
Andrew replied defensively, "I was working late at the office."
"Oh, really?" I locked my eyes with him, searching for every subtle change in his expression.
Andrew looked uneasy under my stare. Still, he kept up his act, insisting, "Of course."
I took a deep breath and decided to play along—for now.
"Alright," I replied, softening my voice. "If anything like that happens again, I'll be the first to help."
As I'd backed down, Andrew dropped the subject.
"Apologize to Jessica tomorrow and try to make her feel better," he ordered.
I nodded, acting obedient.
Clearly exhausted, Andrew fell into a deep sleep in no time, his loud snores filling the room.
I quietly grabbed his phone, hunting for any evidence of his affair.
Seriously, he hadn't even bothered to put up any defenses—what an idiot.
Right there, bold as hell, he'd saved the other woman's contact as "Honey."
Clearly, he'd never given a damn about me—didn't even bother to keep up the act.
The entire chat was packed with filthy texts.
Some of the stuff was straight-up R-rated—so nasty I almost couldn't believe my eyes.
I quickly snapped screenshots of everything and saved them all on my phone.
The other woman was none other than his boss, Lydia Lynch, who was three years older than him.
And the two of them had been sneaking around for nearly a year.
But that wasn't all—I also stumbled across a chat between Andrew and Jessica.
Jessica: [Come back now. Our plan's falling apart.]
That one short message sent a chill down my spine.
Clearly, they were not giving up; another scheme was on the way.
I couldn't just sit on my hands and let them come for me again. It was time to kick my revenge plan into high gear.
I quickly slipped a location tracker onto Andrew's phone.
For the next few days, Andrew and Jessica didn't try any sneaky tricks or stir up trouble.
But I knew they wouldn't wait much longer—Lydia's due date was coming up fast.
Sure enough, one day, Andrew snuck off to a strange apartment complex.
I grabbed a cab and shadowed him.
Right then, I saw him helping a pregnant woman into his car—it was Lydia.
I kept on their trail until they reached a hospital.
It turned out he was here to accompany Lydia for her prenatal check-up.
I couldn't help but remember when I was pregnant with Yvonne—Andrew never even bothered to come with me. But now, he couldn't be more attentive.
But what really threw me for a loop was when Jessica and Margaret, my mother-in-law, showed up at the hospital too.
Margaret sucked up to Lydia with an overly sweet smile, while Jessica hung on her arm. They looked like one big, happy family.
No time for emotions. I grabbed some quick shots and bolted from the hospital.
