Chapter 4

Friday evening at The Apex Club.

It was the most exclusive private venue in the entire city. Only the absolute wealthiest and most powerful elites could even step through the doors.

Tonight's summit had gathered the biggest heavyweights in the financial world.

Stephen showed up as well.

Even though his company was bleeding out, he came hoping to secure a miracle investor to save his sinking ship.

He wore a perfectly tailored Armani suit, his hair slicked back immaculately. He desperately tried to maintain his old image of success, forcing stiff smiles as he attempted to network with the crowd.
