1 got an A. Someone in the front row dropped their pen.

Emily, with a red pen in hand, forced a smile. "Sophie, you've improved a lot."

I replied, "I didn't improve. That B on the last test wasn't mine."

Nancy's face fell slightly. "Sophie, you did well this time. Let it go."

Alex added, "You've already proven yourself. Stop holding Emily's mistakes against her."

"We should put all the scores from the last test out in the open," I said, glancing at the screen.

Emily's face lost some color. "Sophie, what are you trying to say?"
