Chloe ran to answer it. Standing on the front porch were several men in crisp black suits and dark sunglasses.

At the front, a slim man in wire-rimmed glasses held a leather briefcase and spoke with the kind of measured authority that comes from winning very expensive court cases.

"Is Nora Sinclair here? We've been retained to conduct a property clearance."

I walked over and nodded, replying, "That's me. Please remove these individuals from my home. Anything that belongs to them can go in the yard."
