Chapter 3

The first weekend in December, ATO threw their end-of-football-season blowout party.

Jackson was the chapter president, so this was his last big event. As his girlfriend, I was supposed to stay right by his side in that big gothic frat house, chatting with all the other Helenic couples.

By one in the morning, I was wiped out.

"Can we please leave?" I asked him quietly.

He was deep in conversation with a few brothers about spring rush. He nodded. "Give me ten minutes. I just need to finish this."

Ten minutes turned into twenty. Then thirty.
