Grant looked up and saw me. A wave of relief washed over his handsome face.

Then, his gaze shifted.

He looked down at the twelve velvet boxes displayed on the floor.

He actually smiled.

He ignored the shocked whispers of our guests. He walked past the rows of flowers and stopped just a few steps away from the altar.

"Okay, Claire," Grant said, his voice echoing in the quiet room. "You made your point."

He reached his hand out to me. "Come here."

He thought I had staged this entire dramatic scene just to force him to rush back.
