Helen was a colleague of mine, seven years older. She'd been through a divorce, but she was thriving these days.

I shot her a message: [Helen, are you free to talk?]

Helen replied almost instantly, [Come over. I'm home.]

I grabbed a cab and headed over to Helen's place.
