Maybe it was pure instinct, but I lunged forward to shove Harrison out of the way.

At the exact same second, Harrison spun around and yanked Mia into his arms to shield her.

Carter rushed in too, throwing himself over Mia to block the attacker.

Both of them violently swatted my hands away.

I completely lost my balance and crashed hard into the guy with the knife.

The sharp blade buried itself deep into my forearm. Blood gushed everywhere, instantly turning my white coat crimson.

Security swarmed in and pinned the guy down.

Meanwhile, Harrison and Carter were completely focused…
