Chapter 3

At dinner, Sophie had someone prepare caviar.

One bowl was set in front of Emily, and another in front of me.

Just as I picked up my spoon, Emily suddenly piped up, "Sophie, is it really safe for Laura to eat this while she's pregnant? I heard some pregnant women shouldn't eat raw seafood."

Sophie immediately took the bowl away from me. "Better not eat it, in case something happens."

James paused with his fork in mid-air. "The doctor never said she couldn't have it."

Sophie shot him a glare. "What do you know? You never know what could happen…
