Chapter 1
I kicked open the door of the wedding room.
My wedding was three days away.
My fiancé of six years, Ethan, was naked on top of my bridesmaid, Madison.
I was still clutching the custom veil I had just picked up.
The rhinestones bit into my palm.
The pain was real.
The scene in front of me hurt worse.
Madison screamed and pulled the quilt.
"Lena, please listen to my explanation!"
Madison smiled and said.
"Ethan will go crazy when he sees you."
Ethan yanked on his pants.
"Why did you come back early?"
Ethan's face immediately sank.
"Turn off the phone."
I pointed the camera at him.
"Stand still. The most honest side of your life is worth keeping as a souvenir."
Blood fell into the skirt of the wedding dress.
Ethan paused for a moment.
"You're hurt."
I raised my phone and said.
"One more step forward, and the secretly filmed video will be added to the wedding group immediately."
I turned the camera to her.
"How long have you been asleep?"
Madison lowered her head.
"Lena, I'm sorry."
I said.
"I need time."
Madison gripped the quilt tightly.
"Three months ago."
Ethan said.
"It has happened. We can solve it."
I said.
"How to solve it?"
Ethan said.
"Cancel the recording first, and let's sit down and talk."
He wanted to clear the group first and then turn tonight into a"misunderstanding".
Ethan's expression changed completely.
"You have to let everyone see the joke?"
I said.
"The joke happened. I'm in charge of selling tickets."
Madison covered her face and cried louder and louder.
Ethan took a step forward.
"Lena."
I looked at the custom-made wedding bed that cost two hundred thousand dollars.
Ethan shouted from behind.
"Where are you going?"
I opened the cupboard and took out the whiskey that was only allowed on the night of the wedding.
The neighbors in the entire building owe me no money.
I only burn this bed, and I only burn things that belong to this wedding.
When the warning lights came on, Ethan finally realized I was serious.
I walked into the fire escape and realized that my hands were shaking.
Don't shake. If I cry now, the fire will not burn these six years for me.
I took off my veil and wrapped it around my bleeding feet. The expensive lace immediately turned red, and for the first time I felt it had a use.
The security guard downstairs caught up and registered the damage. I left my name, phone number, and promise of compensation, and I didn't hide anything.
If you are crazy, you must pay your dues. Whatever Ethan owes me, I will let him acknowledge it one by one.
When the firefighters rushed upstairs, I stepped out of the way and didn't look back. I will pay for every inch of that wedding room burned down. As for the two people inside, they will have to spend the rest of their lives to compensate me, with interest.
From now on, no one can finish it for me.
