I stayed silent for a moment.

[No way. I have to be at the lab early tomorrow.]

[If someone's going to jail over this, I vote for Emily.]

I reached out, pulled a stunned Emily away from my mother, and thrust one of the documents in her face, pointing to a line of text.

"Read this. Out loud."

She hesitated, but with our parents, brothers, and a room full of spectators watching, she stumbled through the words.

"M-Measurement of the upper temperature threshold for rocket surfaces under different alloy structures... and orbital simulations for... for rocket landings on near-Earth comets…
