Chapter 4

Memories from my previous life flashed through my mind. Shawn beat my face mercilessly, and all I could do was make muffled noises through the duct tape over my mouth.

He still wasn't satisfied. He shoved a plastic bag over my head and watched as I slowly suffocated, my body jerking desperately. Right at the last moment, he ripped the bag off, laughing like a madman while I gulped down air.
