"I'm not sending it," I said, my voice steady.

I took my phone back and deleted the line he'd typed.

Genevieve barged in, her face stormy.

"Why are you fussing about what's yours and what's ours? Edward takes care of you, so what's the big deal if he uses your translation?" she snapped.

"That's my work. It's not just family property," I shot back, keeping my voice steady.

Melissa leaned against the dining table, tears streaming down her face.

"Julie, will you only be satisfied if I admit in front of everyone that I plagiarized your work?" she choked out.
