"Yes, I'm pregnant," I said.

I hadn't really wanted to tell Ryan. Even though I'd already booked the abortion, I just couldn't stand the thought of the baby's dad hating it. But now that he knew, there was no point in keeping it a secret anymore.

But what I didn't expect was how excited Ryan got when he heard the news.

It was as if all the pain between us had never existed. Overjoyed, he pulled me into his arms and held me tight.

"You're pregnant. We're having a baby. I'm going to be a dad," he said.
