Chapter 1
I woke up as the villain Nolan's wicked wife. My mission was to make his life hell and push him over the edge.
I smashed the diamond necklace he gave me on purpose, mocked him for being an illegitimate child, and stole company secrets.
After all my dirty deeds, I thought I could finally walk away scot-free.
But then he trapped me against the wall and kissed me. "Baby, you're never leaving my world."
Wasn't he supposed to be the big bad villain?

To cure my terminal illness, I agreed to the system's deal.
I got thrown into a romance novel and became the wicked wife of the villain, Nolan Sinclair.
"I bought the diamond necklace for you. Try it on and see if it fits," Nolan said, handing me a beautiful jewelry box with a warm smile.
When I met his gentle gaze, my stomach twisted with guilt.
The system's mission for me was to humiliate Nolan, make him hate the world, and turn him into the perfect villain.
But no matter how much I tried to hurt him, Nolan never got angry. He just kept spoiling me and never stopped caring.
I threw away the dinner he spent all afternoon making, and he just tenderly wiped my hands clean.
I tore up his 3 million dollar business contracts, and he just smiled and asked which one I wanted to tear up next.
A week ago, I casually said a necklace in a magazine looked pretty, and he flew straight to Kingston and paid a fortune to bring it back for me.
"Do you like it?" Nolan asked, gently fastening the necklace around my neck and carefully tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
The cold metal against my skin made me shiver. I looked down at the dazzling jewels, and I just couldn't bring myself to say anything hurtful.
System: [Host, what are you hesitating for? Push the plot forward, or you'll face punishment.
[Tear off the necklace and humiliate Nolan.
[You're just an illegitimate nobody. Your background is dirty, and so are the things you give me.]
"You're just a nameless bastard. Your background is dirty, and so are the things you give me," I spat, tearing off the necklace and echoing the system's words, a cruel, mocking smile curling on my lips.
When I called him a bastard, Nolan's smile shattered piece by piece, leaving him looking lost and embarrassed.
"I won't wear anything you give me. It's dirty," I added.
The cold metal lingered in my palm for a second before I raised my hand and threw the necklace to the floor.
As the dazzling jewels scattered across the ground, my heart ached.
That was a ton of money down the drain. The news said this necklace went for 3 million dollars at auction.
Nolan was such a reckless spender. He knew I'd just humiliate him no matter what he gave me, so why did he keep buying me insanely expensive stuff?
"You don't like it?" Nolan's voice was tinged with sadness. "I'll get you something else next time."
"I don't want it. Everything you give me is dirty," I shot back.
"Worthless loser," I spat, then turned and walked away, leaving Nolan standing there, heartbroken and alone.
System: [Nice work, host. Your wickedness was spot on the right amount of evil.
[Keep reminding Nolan he's an illegitimate child, humiliate him, put him down, and shatter his last bit of hope for this world. He'll turn completely dark in no time.]

It was the middle of the night. I quietly slipped out of my room, phone flashlight in hand, and started picking up the shattered diamond necklace lying on the floor.
System: [Why bother picking that up?]
I carefully wiped the dust off the pieces. [Three million dollars down the drain. My heart aches just thinking about it.]
System: [Didn't Nolan give you his unlimited card? You can swipe it as much as you want. This is nothing to you now.]
[Doesn't matter, I still feel the pain,] I muttered, carefully gathering up every piece.
The system let out a sigh, watching me act like such a penny-pincher.
