Ryan told me he'd already reserved a private room at the restaurant.

When I walked in, I saw Claire and Keith's whole family were already there.

Claire gave me a chilly smirk as soon as she saw me.

Keith, on the other hand, greeted me warmly.

"Hey, Evelyn," he said.

"Yeah," I replied.

Once I'd said hi to Keith, I turned to Ryan.

"Why didn't you tell me Keith was hosting tonight?" I asked.

What I really meant was, 'Why did you make plans without telling me again?'
