Chapter 7

"You're my wife," Gordon said.

I couldn't help but let out a mocking laugh.

I said, "Your wife? Gordon, I've signed the divorce papers, and you've proposed to Cassidy. Since when am I your wife?

"If you have any conscience, you should treat Cassidy properly and stop seeking me out with your hypocritical act."

Gordon sounded like he was in pain. His voice was thick with emotion as he called out my name.

He said, "There's really nothing between me and Cassidy. Proposing to her was to make you jealous. I never signed the divorce papers. Jenna. Please come back."
