The Smoothie

Synopsis

Artem Belov and Rhys Thorne have a secret: they've been dating for years, hiding their relationship from the entire hockey world. Then Rhys gets into a fight on the ice with Jonas Sutter—and Sutter reveals he knows. Artem drives four hours to confront Sutter, ready to throw fists. But what he finds in Sutter's apartment changes everything. Sutter isn't just a homophobic asshole. He's also in a secret relationship with a man named Beau. A tense standoff becomes an unlikely truce. And when Artem realizes that Sutter's boyfriend Beau works at a smoothie shop, he sees an opportunity for the perfect petty revenge—stealing Beau's smoothie recipe and having Rhys film a commercial with it, just to mess with Sutter. Years later, two unlikely couples end up sharing a table at a gay bar. They don't fight anymore. They laugh, they tease, they watch each other's highlights on TV. And somewhere along the way, rivals became friends. A hilarious, heartfelt story about secrets, revenge, and the people who find each other despite everything.
