Chapter 4

My phone rang. It was my assistant, Alex Clark.

"Ms. Johnson, Mr. Hudson just stopped by the studio," Alex said. "He wants to reclaim all the equipment he invested in."

I froze in disbelief. "He said what?"

"He said now that you two have broken up, he wants everything back from his investment. And if you refuse, he's threatening to sue you for misappropriating his property," Alex replied.

I was shaking all over with anger. Justin was really out to destroy me—no mercy at all.
