Standing in the doorway was my father, Richard Reed.

His bodyguards surged in behind him, locking down the whole warehouse in seconds.

His eyes were downright chilling, slicing through everyone in the room with a glacial glare.

Then his stare landed like a weight on that filthy sack. He didn't look away.

Reaching down, he ripped the sack open with his own hands. The sight of me lying in a pool of blood hit him hard. His eyes went soft with anguish and worry.
