Chapter 5

The neighbors totally freaked out.

Martha was just as scared.

They were all frantically trying to get inside.

But every time they tried to force the door, I'd lift one foot, ready to jump.

It wasn't until the firefighters and cops showed up that I finally couldn't hold it together anymore.

With tears streaming down my face, I finally told everyone why I was about to do it.

"Yeah, they drove me insane," I said.

"It was Martha, my nanny. She's the one who tried to push me over the edge."
