On our nineteenth attempt, the divorce finally went through.

When we walked out, Vivian was waiting outside with their son for Edward.

The little boy saw me and spat.

"Go away, you crazy woman! Leave my dad alone.

"If you don't, I'll hit you!"

Before the kid could touch me, Edward slapped him across the face.

The boy's cheek swelled instantly, blood trickling from his lip.

Vivian burst into tears, but Edward's face showed nothing.
