I've lost track of how long I kept them locked in that car.

It might have been ten minutes; it could have been 20. I've replayed that night in my head a thousand times, but my memory of those moments was shot to pieces. I only recalled flashes.

Sophia started to cry. Not a loud, sobbing mess, but a silent stream of tears down her cheeks. She kept wiping them away, but they just kept coming.
