Lucas was mad at me now. Finally. I felt a surge of satisfaction and threw myself even harder into the act.

I faked a stumble, "accidentally" falling right into Jake's arms, and my champagne "accidentally" spilled all over him.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry, Jack. I swear I didn't mean to," I apologized, pulling out a napkin and teasingly dabbing at his chest.

Jake was clearly flustered, grabbing my hand with a grin. "No worries, gorgeous. If you really feel bad, why don't you come upstairs with me and help me change?"
