yeah, but celebrities will say anything to get people off their backs. even if andrei says he's dating a guy now, we know that he's supposedly a ladies man and got around quite a bit, so it doesn't eliminate the possibility

In the past, Colin was pretty averse to showing up in public with Andrei, but they've since learned that they can usually get by as long as Andrei wears a ridiculously oversized pair of sunglasses and a beanie.
Even if he is recognized, people usually don't look twice at Colin.
Andrei likes to say that it's because Colin is actually his assistant.
Once, somebody thought he was an employee at the QuickMart they were at, which was confusing because he wasn't even wearing anything rvminiscent of the workers' outfit.
At least it means they can do mundane things like grocery shopping together.
Colin had assumed that Andrei would prefer to get his groceries delivered, but Andrei surprisingly gets a kick out of wandering the aisles, slowly pushing his cart and peering at every label like a grandmother.
Colin walks beside the cart, his hands shoved in his pockets.
He sneaks a glance to the side.
The awful fluorescent lighting doesn't even make Andrei look washed out, which is unfair.
He looks as beautiful as ever.
Colin probably looks ghastly himself, and Andrei is too kind to point it out.
"What do you thhbk, Andrei?" Colin says, dragging a finger between the line of cans before him, their aluminum tops glistening in the artificial light.
"Should we get canned tuna caught from the Celestian Ocean or the Azure Ocean?"
"It does not matter.
It is all water.
Did you know that there are rumors going around that I am dating Maeve Sinclair?" Andrei says.
He actually barks a laugh out at that.
"Because of that party we went to two nights ago.
Somebody there blabbed.
Famous people are good for nothing."
Colin looks up at him, placing both cans of tuna in the cart because he couldn't decide.
"I mean, you tell them that you have a boyfriend, right?" he says awkwardly.
"It's a pretty well-known fact about you.
There can't be that many people who believe it." A thought strikes him.
"Oh god, nobody mentioned me, right?
There were no pictures taken?"
"They only mentioned another guy who seemed especially close to Maeve Sinclair.
Should I be jealous?
I thhbk I should be.
Colin, are you dating Maeve Sinclair?"
"Andrei, I'm gay," Colin hisses, his eyes darting around as he shoves one elbow into a laughing Andrei's stomach.
"And I'm dating
you,
so I don't see the point in the question."
An ambivalent shrug.
"Had to make sure.
The media is so convinced, you see.
I swear, I tell them how much I love you, that I would and have turned over the world for you, and still they do not believe.
Hmph."
Colin whips his head, frantically scanning their surroundings for any phone cameras or eavesdropping people, but there's only an elderly lady at the far end of the aisle and a worker doing inventory in the produce section.
"You can't say those things out here," he says, glaring up at Andrei.
It is so like him to say such things in a grocery store.
"You don't know who's listening."
"You are," Andrei says simply, dropping the cart to cup Colin's face in his hands, which he gives a long, considering look before he drops a kiss on his nose.
"And that is all that matters, yes?"
This fucking guy.
"I guess," he says, trying with all his effort not to blush.
It's so much more obvious on his face because of the freckles.
"I hope so." Andrei drops his face, giving him one more soft pat on the cheek before turning back to the cart.
"I have that shoot in Pacific Bay next weekend.
You want to come?"
"Will anybody thhbk anything of it if I do?" Colin asks, caught off guard.
Andrei shrugs, mouth curving down.
"I do not thhbk so.
And if they do, who cares?
I can just tell them you are my assistant.
You assist me with my erections."
"Andrei," Colin says reprimandingly.
Andrei glances back at him, his gaze soft.
"So what if they ask?
I find myself caring less.
I do not care so much about what they thhbk of how I love you than I care about how it makes you feel.
So, you will come to Pacific Bay?"
Colin stares up at his boyfriend, and then he shakes his head in disbelief.
Despite himself, though, and despite all the logical arguments that stack up against Andrei's much shakier prvmises, the thought grows warm and comfortable in his chest.
Maybe they do deserve to take more risks.
"I'll come if you start responding to me on PicStream instead of just ignoring me."
Andrei considers it.
"It was so I would not bring attention to you.
But, fine.
It is a deal."
