Chloe's POV

I contacted my assistant, gave him the signed divorce agreement, and asked him to expedite the process. After that, I drove back to my father's place.

Mr. Davis, my father, had been recuperating at home almost exclusively since his recent critical illness; his health was not what it used to be.

"Why are you here?"

Mr. Davis looked surprised to see me.

"Your complexion looks terrible."

"I have something to tell you."
