I froze for a moment, then agreed to Lily's request.

After she fell asleep, I drove home. While waiting at a red light, I saw a post Charlotte had just shared.

The photo showed Edward. He had his head lowered, fully focused as he put medicine on a scrape on Charlotte's knee. The caption read: [Thanks for saving me, my hero. I'd give you my whole heart.]

The post had plenty of likes and comments. Edward was one of them. He replied: [Anything for you, my little princess.]
