Chapter 1
I was the heiress of one of Studiff's most powerful families.
I paid for my husband Andrew's college education, then brought him into my family through marriage and handed him a life of wealth, only to raise an ungrateful snake in the grass.
After I got pregnant, his so-called "little sister," Deborah, brazenly moved into my villa and strutted around the living room in my silk pajamas.
The moment I frowned, her eyes turned red and she ducked behind Andrew. "Did I embarrass you, Laureen? I may be poor, but I never wanted you to look down on me."
Andrew pulled her into his arms protectively, then pointed at me and snapped, "So what if you've got a little money?
"Deborah is the only family I have. What's wrong with her wearing something comfortable around the house?
"Unlike you, acting like a queen just because you're pregnant. Who are you even putting that sour face on for?"
Then he let out a bitter sigh, his face full of righteous indignation. "Life is so unfair.
"If men could get pregnant, I'd give you ten kids without a second thought just to show you what real devotion looks like. I'd never use my belly as an excuse to bully anyone."
Looking at that self-righteous expression on his face, I suddenly heard the system notification ring in my mind. [Wish Fulfillment System activated.
[Host, would you like to transfer the ability to become pregnant to this male?]
I smiled faintly. Fine. I'd gladly make his little dream of being so "devoted" come true.

I stared at Andrew's impatient face, and whatever warmth I had left for him completely froze over.
"Fine," I replied. "Since you're so desperate to share my burden, I'll make a wish and let you have exactly what you want."
Andrew snorted dismissively, thinking I was just being sarcastic. He said impatiently, "Laureen, quit with the weird talk.
"Deborah's here because I want her here. Don't even think about using your rich-girl tricks to kick her out."
Deborah peeked out from his arms, my custom-made silk pajamas hanging loosely on her, the neckline plunging scandalously low.
She blinked her big, innocent eyes, her voice so sweet. "Andrew, please don't fight with Laureen because of me.
"I was just curious what's so special about these pajamas that cost tens of thousands, but if Laureen is upset, I'll just take them off and give them back right now..."
As she spoke, Deborah made a show of reaching for the tie on her pajamas. She wasn't wearing anything underneath.
Andrew was quick to grab her hand, then shot me a vicious glare. "Why take it off? We're in our own home. You can wear whatever you want, Deborah.
"Laureen, just look at how sensible Deborah is. And then look at you.
"It's just a pajama. Seriously, do you have to make such a big deal out of it?
"Your closet's overflowing with designer brands. Letting Deborah wear one isn't going to kill you. Rich people really are stingy."
I took a deep breath, swallowing back the urge to gag.
The system chimed in again: [Wish granted. Pregnancy transfer in progress. Waiting period: three days. Everything will hit after that.]
Three days. I just had to hold out for three more days.
I lowered my gaze, hiding the coldness in my eyes. "Fine, if she likes wearing used clothes, let her have them.
"Anything someone else has worn is filthy to me. I was going to throw it out anyway."
Andrew's face froze, then he blew up in anger. "Laureen, can't you speak like a normal person?
"Filthy? What's that supposed to mean? Deborah's way cleaner than you'll ever be.
"She's like a sister to me. I watched her grow up. I won't let you talk about her like that."
Deborah's tears streamed down her face, like the whole world had done her wrong.
She whimpered, "Laureen, I know you think I'm just some girl from the sticks, that I carry the smell of the village.
"Andrew, maybe I should just leave. I don't deserve to live in a fancy villa like this."
Andrew's heart ached for her. He hugged her even tighter, like she was the most fragile thing in the world.
He said loudly, "No way. This is your home. Let's see who's got the guts to throw you out."
Then he jabbed a finger at me, spittle flying as he shouted, "Laureen, I'm warning you, if you so much as glare at Deborah again, don't blame me for what happens next.
"Don't think just because you're pregnant I won't do something about it. Who knows if that kid's even mine."
My head shot up, staring at him in disbelief. "Andrew, what did you just say?" I asked, my voice trembling.
After three years of him marrying into my family, I used all my family's resources to help him climb up from a broke nobody to Mr. Durham.
And now, he was actually doubting if the baby was even his?
Andrew's eyes flickered for a moment, like he knew he'd crossed a line.
But just to look tough in front of Deborah, he squared his shoulders and sneered. "Yeah, I said it.
"Everyone knows how you Studiff heiresses mess around. Who can say whose kid you're really carrying?"
Deborah, nestled in his arms, flashed me a provocative, defiant grin.
I didn't say another word. I just stared at Andrew in silence. Fine. Just perfect.
Andrew, I hoped you could keep up that holier-than-thou attitude when you realized you were the one carrying this kid in your belly three days from now.
